I am a mechanical engineer,
entrepreneur,
adventurer,
& gear head,
based in California.

About
I'm more than just a dedicated engineer— I enjoy rock climbing, mountaineering, & hiking.
In fact, my friends and I made an impromptu trip to Ecuador to climb Cotopaxi,
a 19,347 ft active volcano. I have always valued nature and want to see it protected.
When I'm not scaling mountains, you'll find me in the water— jet skiing, sailing, surfing,
and scuba diving.
I love hands-on work and tackling new challenges, whether it's using a CNC mill or a pottery wheel.
My goal is to combine my engineering expertise with my
passions, and I can't wait to get started.

Experience
Solar Turbines (Caterpillar)
Supply Chain Technical Engineer
June 2024 - Present
I worked with suppliers of remanufactured turbine parts to enhance yield through process improvements, optimizing part recovery rates and minimizing waste. I collaborated with both internal engineering teams and external suppliers to develop and implement new remanufacturing processes, improving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall quality in turbine component restoration. Additionally, I performed a full disassembly and assembly of a Titan turbine engine, gaining in-depth, hands-on experience with critical hardware. This allowed me to develop a comprehensive understanding of component interactions, failure modes, and best practices for maintaining and improving turbine performance in demanding operational environments.
RedWire Space
Design Engineer
June 2023 - May 2024
I worked on the ISS solar panels and Lunar Gateway's Power and Propulsion Element roll-out panels, contributing to ground support equipment, testing equipment, and flight hardware. I had full ownership of the design and manufacturing process from concept to completion, ensuring seamless execution, quality, and efficiency at every stage. Working closely with technicians, I gained hands-on experience using laser trackers to precisely level testing hardware for zero-gravity simulations. Working at a smaller company required me to wear many hats, allowing me to gain a broad range of experience across multiple disciplines—including PCB board design!
Education
University of California Santa Barbara
B.S. Mechanical Engineering
June 2025
UCSB has been a wonderful choice for me. The sunsets over the ocean and magestic mountains surrounding the school are a constant source of inspiration, as are the incredible people I've met. The university's rigorous academics combined with a strong sense of community has made it the perfect place for me to grow academically and personally.
Technology Management Professional Certificate Program
UCSB
June 2025
This program bridges the gap between technology and business, helping professionals develop skills in entrepreneurship, product development, and leadership. With a focus on innovation and strategy, it's designed for those looking to make an impact in tech-driven industries.
My Works
Here are some of my favorite projects.

Datsun 240z Restoration
I have been completely restoring a vintage 1973 Datsun 240Z, and it's been an incredible journey. From engine overhauls to deciphering complicated wiring diagrams, I've tackled nearly every aspect of the rebuild. This hands-on experience has taught me a lot about problem-solving, patience, and the importance of precision and accuracy. It's been a labor of love. This project has strengthened my technical abilities and has given me a deep appreciation for how every component of a system needs to work together.

Peak Heat
I am the principal entrepreneur leading a team in the UCSB New Venture Competition. We developed a market-tested business model and prototyped a camping stove optimized for high altitude conditions.

NOAA EDNA Sampler
Engineered an unprecedented passive autonomous environmental DNA sampler for 30-day deployment off the Channel Islands.
- Product Design
3 Axis Machining
I have taken a machine shop class using manual mills, lathes, and bandsaws to make an air motor. This year, I took a CAD/CAM class is working on the HAAS mini-mills to learn the basics of writing g-code manually and generating it in Solidworks CAM.
Wings, Carbonfiber, & Fiberglass
Worked with a small team to design and manufacture the full Aero package for UCSB's first FSAE car, including the front wing, rear wing, nose cone, and side pods. Utilized CFD to optimize aerodynamics and improve performance. Gained hands-on experience with composites manufacturing, including vacuum bagging, hot wire foam cutting with laser-cut templates, and complex fiberglass layups for strength and lightness. Lessons from the first year were applied to the second, leading to significant improvements in design and manufacturability.

Photography
I have a deep love for photography, especially film cameras. I truly enjoy viewing the world through the perspective of a lens. I've had a lot of fun with my Sony A6000 and a couple of different lenses, exploring the beauty of photography.
